Coming in February!
DAILY BIBLE
7 consecutive Monday evenings beginning February 27th led by Rev. Charles Murphy

bible
Cost $60 (advance registration is necessary and due by Sunday, February 19th)

Are you unfamiliar with the Bible? Turned off by the Bible? Desirous of knowing what is in the Bible? Then this class is just for you.

Over seven meetings, we will look at the first eleven chapters of the first book in the Bible, Genesis. (Don’t fear a lot of reading. A chapter in the Bible is only about a page in length.) Rev. Murphy describes the Daily Bible program as a “Dick and Jane Do the Bible” type of activity. He says, “It’s an every-day, easy-way to become familiar with the Bible while considering values, ethics, and moral concerns relevant to living at the start of the twenty-first century.

Daily Bible does not attempt to turn you into a Bible scholar nor explain what the Bible means. It is not a course on theology, nor does it view what the Bible says as an accurate description of nature and the workings of God and the universe. Daily Bible seeks to help you find, as a result of reading and thinking about the Bible, guidance for living good lives. The goal for Daily Bible is that it will help people approach the Bible with joy and humility rather than to avoid it with fear and trembling.

Join us in the stewardship of our beautiful historic church!

Our “Grand Lady” had her 100th birthday on November 21st, 2009. She has seen her share of ups and downs, from being overgrown with ivy, covered in white paint, condemned then retrofitted after the 1987 Whittier quake, you name it. There have been countless weddings and celebrations performed here, but most importantly, the church has been the spiritual home to thousands for almost 100 years.

It takes many loving supporters and their contributions to make this possible and to have this wonderful space available to everyone. We are a non-profit organization run by volunteers that depend solely on donations and contributions dedicated to maintain, preserve and restore this historic gem. We need your help! If you would like to make a donation for our Building Fund and be a part of keeping history alive, please make your check payable to the First Church of Religious Science and send it to: 117 N. Pomona Ave. Fullerton, CA 92832. Your tax deductible donation will help maintain, preserve and restore the oldest church in downtown Fullerton for the next generation to enjoy.
